Notice regarding Dublin Circuit Court Civil Trials

In compliance with the current provisions of the Health Act 1947 (Section 31A -Temporary Restrictions) (Covid-19) Regulations 2020 and in an effort to expand the hearing of some trials that were adjourned during the period March to June 2020 in a safe environment, the Dublin Civil Office will be listing trials by way of a staggered callover in Court 22 and Court 28 on Monday 22nd June, Tuesday 23rd June and Wednesday 24th June, 2020.  Details of the cases to be listed for each callover will be published on the Legal Diary in due course.  In addition a letter will issue to all relevant practitioners.

Solicitors for the Plaintiff and the Defendant will be required to attend at the assigned callover date/time.  At the callover, cases will be assigned July hearing dates.  For this reason, it is imperative that the availability of witness is clarified in advance of the callover.    It is imperative that the time slots allocated be strictly observed to ensure social distancing measures are adhered to and the callover runs smoothly.

Following the callover, 3 matters will be listed per day for hearing during the month of July in both Courts 22 and 28.  Matters will be listed at either 10am, 12pm or 2pm in each court.

Applications for urgent matters can be e-mailed to dublinciviloffice@courts.ie .  Please clearly set out the urgency of the matter at which point the office will bring the matter to the attention of the Judge.
